I've been working on writing The Query Letter, and yes, I've probably been fretting over it more than usual. I've read up on them, what's good, what's not so good, and also been learning ALL THE THINGS about publishing. I guess what I'm working on most heavily is the summary of my story. It's hard to get it shorter than nearly a page long. So many thing happen! But when I try to write a back-of-the-book blurb, words flow more readily.
My husband Steve is going to give me his feedback. He's published non-fiction books and has read my manuscript and given me ideas, and he's got a good head on his shoulders, so I have high hopes. Wish me luck!

  1. Your bid in the Evil Editor Auction arrived after the auction had officially ended. If Kiersten has lots of extra copies of the book and wants to send you one, I'll let you know. Which will be easier if you send me your email address at

  2. Also, you should send that query letter to the Evil Editor blog for feedback from EE and his minions.

    1. I've already got a professional editor on it, but thanks.
